Allied Communications provides multiple components for email security:

  1. Native Microsoft email security with the ability to report false positives and false negatives. The icons should be available to you within Microsoft Outlook and Outlook web access.

The most common use of these tools is for emails that end up in your junk folder, you simply select the email that ended up in Junk and select the drop down to then select “Not Junk”. You would use the “Junk” option for emails that ended up in your Inbox that should be junk. This will allow Microsoft to learn.

2- Avanan email security is our third-party tool that works with Microsoft’s security engines to determine if any emails are phishing or malicious that were not caught by Microsoft. Both systems learn from each other.

All users will receive email notifications from Avanan from no-reply@yourdomain.com to notify you about emails that were quarantined with options to request a second review from Allied. At the end of every day you will also receive a notification with all of the emails that Avanan send to Junk/Spam and any emails that were quarantined.

3- Our third security tool is our security awareness training which allows us to send phishing simulation emails to your inbox to test your skills in identifying a malicious email. The solution also provides monthly and annual training along with an outlook plug to help you identify if an email is phishing or not. The plug in also gives you points towards your training score if you “Catch a Phish”.

You will receive an email from no-reply@pii-protect.com to setup your account for training, if you have not setup your account or need a new welcome email sent to your please email support@alliedphone.com

Keeping up with email security training will greatly improve your knowledge and what to look for in a malicious email.

4- Our last set of tools are strictly backend monitoring with our 24/7x365 SOC (Security Operations Center). This tool allows us to monitor all aspects of your Microsoft tenant to ensure there are no anomalies, breaches, unknown logins from other countries, malicious forwarding rules, unknown admin accounts, etc.

If you have any questions regarding any of these Microsoft security tools please contact support@alliedphone.com
